A Nampa house with nobody in it still produces Canyon County paper. This page names buckets. It does not publish a Canyon tax rate, an insurance premium, or a corridor monthly total.
Buckets to fill from Canyon pages and your carrier
- Canyon property tax — payment questions belong with the Treasurer. Parcel context lives with the Assessor. Driving past on I-84 does not count as paid.
- Insurance — whatever the carrier actually bills after they know the house is empty.
- Utilities — even a trickle winter bill is a bill. A disconnect after a long stretch is a different later cost.
- Yard and basic upkeep — what neighbors or the city have already complained about, written as a fact, not as a fine this site invents.
- A repair reserve — a number you choose and label as yours.
If a bucket is unknown, leave it unknown. The checklist will not invent the missing Canyon figure.
Duration along the corridor changes the questions, not the arithmetic
Two weeks empty and two heating seasons empty can share the same buckets and still feel different. Longer corridor vacancy is a reason to re-ask the insurer and to walk the lot. It is not a website’s proof that you must sell.
